I got inspired after making my first entry and decided to make another card for the Cards in Envy Snow Birds Card Challenge.
I really like this stamp although I've not used it much. I bought it with a couple of friends in mind who are bird watchers that I would be making cards for. Besides these little guys just make me happy when I look at them!
The bird stamp is from Stampendous. The sentiment is from Unity.
I colored the birds and the tree with my Copic Markers. For the "snow" I used Frosted Lace Stickles.
Have a good one!

Day 29 of the 30 Day Color Challenge
Hello and welcome to Day 29 of the 30 Day Color Challenge. I did change things up just a bit. For the background on this card I used a Cover-a-Card stamp called "Clouds" from Impression Obsession. This stamp is 6x6. I stamped the paper then cut to fit a card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2). The ink I used on the stamp was Tim Holtz Distress "Salty Ocean" for the sky.
The girl on the swing is a Unity Stamp by Phyllis Harris called "Happiness is..." I colored her with my Copic Markers then cut her out as I wanted the background to show through as much as possible. The tree limb is a Tim Holtz Bigz die Holly Branch. I was so bummed when I realized that I had some how gotten a mark on the front of the card. Ugh! Other than that I was very happy with how this turned out!
I was hoping to ride at the State Park again today with my farrier Curtis. I was planning to ride Diamond but we got some rain this morning and it was enough that the park closed the trails. I was so bummed! I could have ridden anyway out where I keep the horses but I chose to catch up on some things here. It is Wednesday and church night for me so it made for a short afternoon anyway.
I did some blogging this afternoon and I had a little help! This is Abercrombie. Vanessa named him when we got him which was in 2000. Yep, this cat is 15! I call him Ab. He usually stays outside when the weather is nice but when it rains or he hears a little rumble of thunder he yells to come in the house. He's not gotten up on the desk in a very long time. Guess he needed some "contact"!
I went to feed on my way to church and there were more clouds building to the Southwest. We did get some rain but only a tenth of an inch. East of us got it a bit worse with some hail. I am thankful we didn't have that!
Have a good one!

Day 28 of the 30 Day Color Challenge

This is a digital image by Mo Manning. Although I don't have many of this artist's images I really like her work!
I colored the image using my Copic Markers. The sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co.
The paper is scrap from another project. It's an old Bo Bunny line but I just love the colors. I thought it worked well with the colors I used for the image.
Have a good one!

Day 27 of the 30 Day Color Challenge
Three more days of the 30 Day Color Challenge.
This stamp set from Unity Stamp Company by Phyllis Harris is "More Blessed to Give". It has several sentiments with it. I was trying to hurry when I made this so it's not my best work. I didn't leave room for a sentiment so I adapted. Not sure I'm happy with it but it's done now!
I colored the image with my Copic Markers. The papers are leftovers from other projects. I think it is an old Fancy Pants "birthday" collection.

Day 26 of the 30 Day Color Challenge

It's Day 26 of the 30 Day Color Challenge.
"I Will Give You My Heart" is the name of this stamp set from Unity Stamp Co by Phyllis Harris. I colored the image with my Copic Markers. I then added some glossy accents to the heart and used a pearl pen to enhanced the dots on her skirt. I opted not to use the sentiments that came with this stamp but instead used a scrap piece of paper that had the word "love" on it.
Have a good one!

Day 25 of the 30 Day Color Challenge

The gold background is a metallic and I used a Stampin Up embossing folder.
I colored the image with my Copic Markers. It doesn't show in the picture above but I went over the wings with a clear Wink giving it some sparkle. The close up shows the sheen.
I love this tule that has gold dots on it. I think it works perfectly with this card.
Have a good one!

Day 23 of the 30 Day Color Challenge
"Miracles Happen" is the name of this stamp set by Unity Stamp Co and designed by Phyllis Harris. I do believe miracles happen! I would like to see more! I colored this image with my Copic Markers. The background paper is from my scraps. It is Little Bicycle beach line from a few years ago. I loved these papers. I chose to cut the sentiment up into individual words to fit along side the image.
I can't believe the 30 Day Color Challenge is almost over. I do think I will take the advice of one of my friends and keep going. I will have a nice collection of cards to either give or sell.
Remi, my oldest granddaughter who lives in California will be coming Saturday to stay over her spring break. We can hardly wait! We haven't seen her since Christmas!

Day 20 of 30 Day Color Challenge
I am just barely getting day 20 in of the 30 Day Color Challenge! Can't believe it's almost over already!
I decided to use a different stamp. This image is by Little Miss Muffet called Sugar 'n Spice Dolls Vanilla. The sentiment is from another stamp set.
I colored the image using my Copic Markers.
Hope you enjoy!

Day 13 of 30 Day Color Challenge
This is a Unity Stamp designed by Phyllis Harris called "I Will Never Leave You". It is a large stamp so I trimmed it down to fit on an A2 card. Even trimmed the image takes up nearly the whole card.
I colored the image using my Copic Markers. I am not as pleased with my coloring on this one. I didn't blend the sand color very well. The papers I used on this card were scraps from my stash. I think it was part of an old 3 Bugs line Easter Collection.
Have a good one!

Day 12 of 30 Day Color Challenge
Welcome to day 12 of the 30 Day Color Challenge. This card was made using a rubber stamp from Unity Stamp Company and designed by Phyllis Harris called "Face the Sunshine".
I colored the image using my Copic Markers. The sentiment came with the stamp set. I chose to cut out the words individually so that I could put them next to the image. The design paper is from an older Bo Bunny Collection. I finished the card off with some twine.

Color Challenge Day 8
Well, looks like I got way off track with the color challenge. Oh, well. I had good intentions. It didn't help that I went to a conference day 3 of the challenge for the weekend. I returned very late Saturday night. Then Sunday was church morning and evening with Kashton's 2nd birthday party in the middle!
I did however manage to get this done Monday night.

Once again I am using a rubber stamp from Unity designed by Phyllis Harris called "Your Wings Exist". I colored the image with my Copic Markers. The sentiment comes with this stamp.
The design paper was scraps from a layout using My Mind's Eye Kate & Company Cambridge Court collection. The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I am also including this card in Card's in Envy's Challenge "Anything Goes with A Bow".
I'll blog soon about our weather and birthday celebration for Kashton!

Day Two "30 Day Coloring Challenge"
My grandson Kashton turned two years old today! He's a real cutie and a sweet heart. This picture was taken in November. He's gives great hugs. He jabbers up a storm and every once in a while I can understand a word or two!
We are celebrating his birthday on Sunday afternoon. I used the color challenge to make his birthday card.
He loves "Whorsies" (horses) as he calls them. I was like that at that age. So of course my colored image is of a horse or more specifically a pony.
I didn't work today since we had sleet and snow last night so I spent time in my craft room coloring and creating!
This is a Penny Black stamp called "Minding Shelty". I really like this artists stamps too! I colored the image with my Copic Markers I also colored the number 2, cut it out and added some dimensional tape. I also cut the sentiment to fit it on the same paper as the image. The paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle "winter" collection. I don't remember the name. It was a scrap left from a 2 page layout I created using these papers.
I am having fun coloring! Thanks for the challenge!
Have a good one!

Day One "30 Day Coloring Challenge"
While checking email today I received a notification of a blog I follow. It talked about another
blog that was doing a "30 Day Coloring Challenge". The challenge is to color a little everyday. The challenge started today. Whether its using water colors, Copic Markers, or sharpies. The goal is to color something. It sounded like fun to me. I love to color and doing a little everyday might help inspire more creativity!

I made a card with the image I colored. I used my Copic Markers. This is a Unity stamp designed by Phyllis Harris called Strong & Courageous. The sentiment was too large for the front of the card so I cut off part of it and put the remainder inside the card. The rest of the sentiment says "do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God, will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9".
To tone down the white paper I used Distressed Ink Antique Linen and applied with a blending tool around the edges of the image and sentiment. The design paper is scrap from an old Bo Bunny collection.
We are in a Winter Storm Warning with sleeting falling as I write this. Today was a good crafting day and looks like tomorrow will be too!

You Are Loved

The image is a Phyllis Harris Design rubber stamp called "First Love" sold by Unity Stamp Company. I just love this artist's creations and I have several of her stamps.
The design papers are an old Bo Bunny "pet" line that I had scraps of. The sentiment is also a Unity stamp. It is a Phyllis Harris too from another stamp set.
I colored the image with my Copic Markers. The sentiment I stamped then cut out the words individually to fit on the card. I was pleased with how it turned out.
I'm preparing for more wintry weather. Maybe we will get some snow and I'll have pictures!
Have a good one!

For the Birds Challenge
I am entering this card in Cards in Envy: For the Birds Challenge. The image is a Cling Jumbo from Stampendous that I purchased at Cat's Creations. I colored the image with my Copic Markers then covered it in glossy accents to enhance the color. I used Stickles to color the berries then cut out the image. I chose not to use a sentiment. I really like how the birds turned out. The green with white polka dot paper was from my stash of Christmas paper scraps. I have no idea what line its from. To finish off the card I added some twine from My Minds Eye.
Have a good one!
