Mother's Day 5-13-2018

Our little family got together. We didn't do a very good job of planning so we had take-out for lunch.

We did take a few minutes to snap some quick pictures. I suggested a 4 generation picture since it had been a while.

Vanessa wanted a picture of her and Keannon since they were still dressed from church.

Sunday evening Keannon and Vanessa had us and his parents over.  It was a nice day!

This is the card I made for Mom. The background I created with a wood grain embossing folder. The image is Aleah Girl designed by Angie Blom and part of Unity's "AngieGirl Collection". I colored the girl with Copic Markers then cut her out and attached to the card with foam squares to give dimension. I do not know what company the sentiment is from. I think I bought it at Michaels.

This is the card I made for Vanessa. I paper pieced the girl which is also from the AngieGirl Collection called "Jane Girl". I stamped the image then cut out the top and put in an embossing folder then put on the image. I used foam tape behind the girl and sentiment to give dimension.

Have a good one!

Kaston Playing Guitar May 10, 2018

I picked up the kids from school. While here, Kashton wanted to play guitar. As you can tell (or maybe you can't)  he's a lefty playing the guitar of a righty 😉. He started off with it the way I play it but because he's left handed it wasn't working too well. So to temporarily solve the problem I turned it around but it isn't stringed to play left handed. Oh well, for what he was doing it really didn't matter. It was cute.

It has been very busy around here with baseball, softball, volleyball, dance recital, rodeo, graduation. I'm a little behind but hope to catch up soon.

Have a good one!

Rodeo May 10.11.12.2018

It was Rodeo week last Thursday through Saturday.  I chose again to not participate with horses. Guess my age is starting to show. I find it too stressful and work for 15 minutes of "fame".

On Friday night, Kennedy had a softball game and Vanessa worked at the "Hole in the Wall". Keannon took Kennedy and Korin to the game and we took Kashton to the rodeo. The buckle he is wearing belongs to his mom that she won during our days of being part of a riding club.

Tracy and Joelle.

Vanessa discovered this picture that someone took at the rodeo. This bronc was two boxes down from where we were. See the looks on me and Joelle's faces 😲.

Kashton getting a high-five from the barrel clown.

If you're interested you can see the clown act here.

You can watch a little Bronc riding here.

You can watch a little Barrel Racing here.

See some Bull riding here.

Vanessa signed Kashton up for Mutton Bustin on Saturday night. He was so excited!

With his vest on.

Trying on the helmet.

Our littlest cowgirl!

Kennedy wearing her Mama's felt hat.

Group pciture before the rodeo starts.

Paying tribute to our National Anthem.

It was finally time for the Mutton Bustin.

Keannon has on the gray t-shirt next to the lady in turrqoise. Kashton is up next.

Kashton's ride.

Keannon making sure Kashton is ok. He got face full of dirt.

But he was all smiles! He was most proud of the buckle he got for participating!

Another great rodeo!

Have a good one!

One Layer Card Challenge

I have gotten off track with entering the card challenges at Cards in Envy. Hoping I'm on track again by jumping back in with the current challenge "One Layer Card". The title is self explanatory.

I love how this card turned out. I started with a piece of water color paper. Using Distress Inks I blended different colors until the surface was covered. Then I splattered some water droplets onto the ink. Next I stamped with black ink using a Unity Stamp designed by artist Angie Blom called Happy Birthday Balloon. The middle balloon I heat embossed for it to stand out a little more although it doesn't show well in this photo.

I love this stamp. It is so versatile and will work with many other stamps.

Thanks for taking a look!

Have a good one!

Dance Recital 2018

"A Day in the Life of a Princess" was this years Dance Recital Theme. Korin started dance last fall and this was her first dance recital.

Her first dance was called "Cute and Cuddly"

Her facial expressions were so cute. She did really well.
I have more pictures posted on Facebook if you want to see them. They are in my photo albums under "Dance Recital 2018".

Kennedy's group did a really cool dance routine from Star Wars. Since they used light sabers the lighting was lower than usual and next to impossible to get photos but I took a couple and got one from a friend. You can't see Kennedy in this one.

I think Kennedy is in the end of the photo that is blurred.

You can see Kennedy in this one. Second from the left. This was the picture I got from someone else.

Kennedy and her dance partner Daysee got to perform their competition dance routine at the end of recital.

They danced to Toby Mac's Light Shine Bright.

Got a few pictures after recital too.

The fam less Kashton. He wasn't in a cooperative mood.

Grammer and her little princesses.

Keannon's mom (Grandma) with the girls.

There really wasn't a good background anywhere to take pictures. Keannon was nice enough to get a picture of me with the girls. Thankfully, I can "crop" out the extra stuff 😉

Kashton didn't want to be in any of the pictures but he did want a picture of him with his dad. He still wasn't very happy!

The recital this year was the best I had seen! All the girls did a great job.

Have a good one!
