Day 28 of the 30 Day Color Challenge

It is Day 28 of the 30 Day Color Challenge.

This is a digital image by Mo Manning. Although I don't have many of this artist's images I really like her work!

I colored the image using my Copic Markers. The sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co.

The paper is scrap from another project. It's an old Bo Bunny line but I just love the colors. I thought it worked well with the colors I used for the image.

Big Sister and a Card

It's already Wednesday again and I'm just now posting for WOW Wednesday last week! So glad the time has been changed to two weeks! I LOVE spring and I've been enjoying being outdoors the last several days.

With all my outdoor activity I have still managed to create a little. After all it does get dark and I have to come inside sometime! Here is my entry for WOW Wednesday at Cat's Creations. 

A two-page layout of "Big Sister" with her little brother. Kashton is not quite one day old. After he was born Kennedy came home with us to spend the night. The next morning she could not wait to go back to the hospital to see her Mommy and little brother. These pictures of her holding and being so tender with him are just precious! That afternoon coming home from feed my horse Kennedy fell asleep. It's hard work to be a big sister!

For this layout I used more papers from the Moxie Collection "Wee Ones". I also used the embellishments. The letters for the title were some I had. They were foam from American Crafts that I colored with my Copic Markers to match the layout. I used foam tape to give dimension to the flourish, circle embellie and one that says "Hushabye Baby".

I also managed to get a card made for Remi. This image reminds me so much of Kennedy. I actually have a picture of her mother holding a cat this way!

This is a Mo Manning digital image. I wasn't really happy with the color I chose for the cat but oh well. I didn't want to print and color another one.I did this a week ago and failed to write down what I used. I cut out the image so show more of the background paper. The sentiment is stamp...not sure who's!

It's NSD (National Scrapbook Day) Retreat Weekend  at Mitchell Resort & RV Park hosted by Cat's Creations Scrapbook Store. I will be working at the store with Ray so the other lady who works at the store can attend this retreat. I will however get to go out Saturday after the store closes to do a M&T (Make and Take) and will stay over to play! I'm excited about that. I have done a layout. Here is a sneak peak!

The theme this year is Flamingo Funnies! I managed to run across this shirt at Walmart that I bought to wear when I work at the store.

I may have to wear a long sleeve shirt underneath it as there is a cold front coming early Thursday morning bringing unseasonably cold air and possibly record breaking temperatures! This is what Kennedy and I think of that....

Post Retreat

I got back Sunday afternoon from a 4 day scrapbook retreat. I had a blast. As usual, I took too much stuff. I have been trying to plan for these better by deciding on what projects I'm going to work on ahead of time but that just didn't happen.

I met some new people, got better acquainted with some others, learned some new things, ate wonderfully home-cooked food, enjoyed some amazing sunsets, laughed so hard I couldn't breathe and did some crafting. All in all it was a pretty productive weekend.

One of my dear scrapbook friends and fellow horse lover had a birthday the first day of the retreat. I made her this card.

I've used this image before on another card I made not too long ago. It's a Mo Manning image. I just love it! I colored it with my copic markers, used some MME patterned paper and some ribbon from my stash.

I did get some page layouts done. I also made some Christmas cards.

I stamped with the star with Versa Mark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I stamp the word "joy" with Versa Mark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The ribbon is from my stash. I'm still playing with this one. I'm thinking about using a white background and embossing the star with red then the word "joy" with gold.

I also made a tag. I had hoped to make more but I lost my momentum.

The entire scene is an embossing folder. I colored the image using a blender pen and my TH Distress inks. I then used liquid pearl for the white on the penguin and the Santa hat. I used stickles on the snowflakes, the ornaments on the tree and the snow on the ground. I used my blending tool to add a little color on the rest of the tag.

Monday night I made a birthday card for my granddaughter Remi. Her birthday is Thursday and I needed to get it in the mail Tuesday so she would get it in time.

I used Seems A Little Sketchy: Sketch 26 for this card. The papers are Authentique "Lively". The image is a rubber stamp I purchased at my LSS Cat's Creations. I don't know what company. I colored with my copic markers and fussy cut her out. I used a Spellbinders die behind her. The ribbon is from my stash.

After reading my friend Sandy's blog I decided to do a card for Clear It Out Challenge. The challenge is to use red from your stash and anything goes. Since I need to make Christmas cards, I pulled some scraps from my Christmas box.

This is more of a burgundy than a bright red. The ribbon is also burgundy. I circle cut the "Happy Holidays". The paper is We R Memory Keepers. These papers were left over from making my mother a little Christmas book of last year. I think it turned out kinda cute.
