First Day of School 080526

 All three grands started school Wednesday, August 5th (way too early in my opinion). Kennedy begins her Junior year of HS. Kashton is in 8th grade and Korin is in 6th grade.

Vanessa's post:

Off to another year. Kennedy had to be at school way before everyone else this morning to welcome back all the students.

Kash and Korin are starting their first year at Mineral Wells and their first year at public school. Both are excited as well as I.

I truly believe this is going to be a great year for them all.

Sports aren’t the most important, grades aren’t the most important, my prayer for you all is glorify the Lord in all you do.

Here’s to the 2026-2027 School year as a Jr., 8th grader, and 6th grader.

As Vanessa mentioned, Kennedy had to be at school early as she is on the cheer squad and the cheerleaders welcome students to school on the first day.

Kennedy is the tallest one or 4th from the left.

Pine Cove 2026

Kennedy and Korin went to Pine Cove, the Church camp in East Texas the last week in July 26 - August 1st). 

Kashton didn't want to go because he wanted to be the "only child" for a week 😉.

The camp is divided into different age groups. Korin is in the one called The Ranch.

Vanessa's post was the following:

"Dropping the oldest (Kennedy) off at camp knowing I only get to do this one more time. This stage of life is hitting real hard."

Kennedy has one more summer she can go to Pine Cove. The high schoolers cabins are by the lake.
