Birthday Cards

This card was created for a dear friend from church. Want to guess what kind of stamp it is?

Yep, a Phyllis Harris by Unity Stamp Company. I love this stamp set and have already used it numerous times.

I made this one for a family member. I just love how it turned out!

Have a good one!

Kennedy Driving?!?!?!?

Don't get too excited just yet! It's just a utility vehicle but she did pretty darn good.

Granddad is close by and giving some instruction. Poor girl, I've trained her so well to look at the camera she's not looking where she's going!

Kennedy wanted to just drive me around. Do I look scared?! I'm not really. She did really good.

Have a good one!

Horse "Thank Yous"

I have a friend who I had made a horse card for some time back. She was needed a card for a friend
of hers and wanted to give her one of my cards. She said "it's hard to find horse cards". (Hmmm...maybe I should make more! It's a thought!)

Anyway, I made up three different ones for her to choose from.

These images are a Phyllis Harris design and made into stamps by Unity Stamp Co. My Phyllis Harris stamps are my favorite!

My friend chose this one as it had pink and the horse looked like hers.

Have a good one!

The Sleep Over That Wasn't

At Vanessa's football game Kashton asked me multiple times if he could spend the night with me. This was unusual. He has never spent the night with me. I talked it over with his Mom & Dad and we decided to give it a try.

While I cooked supper Granddad took Kashton for a ride on the "mule" a Kawasaki utility vehicle that he got me to use at the horses. He just hasn't hauled it over there yet.

After supper we go feed horses. While we are waiting for them to finish, Kashton entertains me with running and playing in the dirt.

We had another cool "starburst" effect sunset. I just love these!

After we got back from feeding horses, I gave Kashton a bath because he was REALLY dirty. I put his pajamas on him and laid him on the couch. Granddad turned on a recorded program of Paw Patrol. He had not had a nap that day so I knew he was tired. Ten o'clock rolled around, eleven o'clock rolled around and he was still awake. About 11:30pm he starts saying he wants me to take him home. I try talking him out of it by saying "Kennedy didn't get to spend the night so you could". He said "Kennedy can spend the night now!" LOL! I called Daddy and he came to get him. That's okay. We'll try again another time! Have a good one!

Final Games of the Season

Victorious Secret played two more games in the playoffs. Not sure if it was the heat, or they were
tired or both but they lost both games. They still had lots of fun!

Here's the girl in pink shorts again. Man, that girl can sprint!

Nice catch!

Final game was played against the same blue team.

Slayers, Elite and Victorious Secret Flag Football teams. I don't remember the name of the 4th team.

This is their "we bad" football faces!
Great season ladies!

Several of the girls want to have a fall league so there is the potential for me to take more pictures.

Have a good one!

Playoffs Game 1

After taking pictures and uploading them to Facebook I was asked to come take more. I'm not the
best photographer but they were pretty happy to get some pictures!

Sunday July 17th was the end of the season. The girls played three games.

The first game they played was against the team that was in first place. The girls played their hearts out!

The girl in the pink shorts is the teams best player.

Time out.

Here's that girl in the pink shorts. I got several pictures of her running with the ball.

It may be flag football but they still get physical sometimes!

Vanessa trying to block a pass.

Vanessa was off on a good run until she lost traction and fell.

Celebrating a win!!

They played another game after this one. More on that in another post.

Have a good one!

Beautiful Evenings

It is most definitely summertime in Texas. I wouldn't expect anything less in July. Needless to say because of the heat, I am waiting until almost dark to feed. It is more bearable then.

This was taken July 13th. Yes, that is a cloud bank but it died out before it got here.

A friend of mine asked me why the sky looks like this sometimes. I have no clue but I sure do like it when it does!

This was taken July 15th. I love how the clouds.

Looking the other direction I see the moon and a puff of a cloud.

Have a good one!

Flag Football Anyone?

Vanessa had a friend who told her about a flag football team for women. Vanessa thought it would be fun to play. Not sure why they want to do it during the hottest time of summer! They have been playing about a month. I decided to go to a game on Sunday July 10th and took some pictures.

Vanessa is the quarterback. Keannon is the coach.

Vanessa back for a pass. That is Keannon's shoulder in this picture.

Vanessa's number is 20. She is in the middle of this photo going after the other team's flag!

She has pretty good form!

Running with the ball.

Talking to the "coach". The other guy is a husband of another player.

Huddle.

Discussing plays.

Coach Bailey

It was fun to watch and take pictures. The girls enjoyed the pictures I posted on Facebook so I have been asked if I would do it again. Sunday is there last game of the season. Although there is some talk about doing a "fall league". We'll see.

Have a good one!

Mikaela's 5th Birthday

Keannon and Vanessa have some really good friends who have a little girl named Mikaela. She calls
me Savtah just like my own grands.

She turned 5 on Monday July 11th but her party was on Saturday July 9th. Here she is with Kennedy. Isn't she just a doll?! Love her blue eyes.

Her party theme was Mermaids. Her mom is very crafty and made all her decorations. I know it's a little hard to see.

When we started singing "happy birthday" I think she was either overwhelmed of embarrassed as she went under the table! She came out after we were done.

This little girl is the granddaughter of a scrapbook friend of mine. She is visiting from Tennessee.

It was a great party!

Have a good one!
