Never Lose Your Sense of Wonder

I made this card for a friend and worship leader at our church. The stamp set is a Phyllis Harris design by Unity Stamp Company. Some time after I had purchased this stamp I purchased a new worship CD by Bethel Church in Redding CA called "You Make Me Brave". This whole CD is a good one but there is one track on the CD that is spontaneous worship and the lyric is "may we never lose our wonder" talking about us not losing the wonder and awe of who God is.

Ever since I heard that song I have wanted to make a card using this stamp to send to my friend. I finally got that done the other day.

I colored the image using my Copic Markers. I used scraps of design paper to make this card. The blue is from American Crafts "The Color of Memories" Collection and the yellow is Authentique "Blissful" Collection.

Have a good one!

I decided to make another card for the Cards in Envy: For the Birds Challenge using Cards in Envy sketch#10.

I know, I know, very few of us want to even think about Christmas but when you're a crafter you need too! I don't have many bird stamps and the ones I do are Christmas themed. I figured it never hurts to make a Christmas card early. The papers I used are from American Crafts. The stamp is an ittybitty by Unity called Silhouette Song Bird. I embosssed the image using Versamark and white embossing powder. I wasn't happy with my first attempt at embossing so I did it again.  I decided to not let the imperfect one go to waste and cut out the bird and the word "JOY" and popped with foam tape.

I am so looking forward to a 3 day weekend! It's supposed to be oppressively hot so it sounds like it will be good crafting weather for me!

Have a good one!
