From the Famous Water in Mineral Wells, we traveled to the East side of Mineral Wells to the National Vietnam War Museum.
This is a little gem just one mile East of Mineral Wells. I shared some pictures on a post last May on this place. If you would like to see those go here.
You can see this helicopter from the highway.
We go to the visitor center when we first arrive.
We are welcomed by Jim Messinger. He is the treasurer. He also was a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam war and was a trainer.
Here he explains the plans to further expand the museum with other exhibits and larger structures.
The kids inside a tank.
Checking out one of the trucks.
Korin having a go at it!
It was when we were done here that Vanessa took Kashton, Zadok and Korin leaving Kennedy with me. We then got on the bus with the rest of the group to finish the tour which included Clark Gardens and Lake Mineral Wells State Park. I will talk about those in another post.
Have a good one!
This is a very nice museum and tribute to our veterans of the Viet Nam war. I enjoy visiting it myself.
