Hawk Sighting 2-25-17

I don't know how I overlooked these pictures but I discovered them last night in looking for
something else!

As you saw by the date in the title these pictures were taken February 25th. When I've see the hawk it has been in the morning. This is the first that I saw him in the evening.

I was coming to feed and spied him on the roof of the church. Just as I make the corner to park at the barn I see him take flight. I watch him hoping he will land some place I can get some pictures.

He does! He perches in the very top of a very tall tree just South of the barn.

While the horses are eating, I make my way ever so carefully to see if I can get a closer shot of him.

This is as close as I can get and still using my zoom fully extended!

I'm not 100% certain but I believe this is the same hawk that I saw the morning of February 17th.

I loved the hues from the setting sun.

I just love how God has been so faithful to allow me to see things you wouldn't normally see in town. He's good like that!
