First Bird's Nest 4-7-2017

I found my first bird nest of Spring. It was while I was watching the butterflies at the China Berry
tree. I saw a bird out of the corner of my eye. When I turned to look to see what kind I noticed something in it's mouth which was an indication to me it was food for babies.

I kept watch and I saw it go inside a dead tree.

After the bird left I went to investigate and was thrilled to find this little ones! There are 5 that I count. One doesn't have its mouth open.
















I took a short video clip of them.

I also saw this little Chickadee.

I also saw a couple more butterflies.

Finally the wings open!

This poor butterfly is battle scarred!
