Kennedy hadn't played in nearly a year due to a nagging knee injury. She has finally recovered. 

Kennedy's first day of school was Thursday, August 8th. Her second day of school she got to miss for a volleyball scrimmage. It was held in the morning in a town about an hour away. I took off work and rode with the kids to watch.

She didn't get to play a lot but at least she got to play. She is at the net in about the middle of the photo.

She only got to serve once but it was a good serve. However they lost the volley.

First Day of School 080824

 Kennedy is a Freshman in high school this fall. She enrolled in a small local school about 10 miles away called Millsap.  

Her first day of classes was August 8th.

Kennedy has made friends with some of the students attending there as she has been attending a church that several Millsap students go to.

This is Kennedy's friend Kinley. She lives in the same neighborhood as Kennedy.

Kennedy has also made the JV volleyball team so there will be pictures and some video coming.

So far she likes school!

July 4th

Remi was here the month of July. I got these pictures from Remi.

The kids went to watch the local fireworks show. Doyle and I opted to stay home.

Tremaine Dance Convention June 24-26

 Kennedy had the opportunity to attend a dance convention at the Gaylord in Grapevine June 24-26th. Vanessa invited me to go with them.

Learning dance moves for "You gotta work for it" . This one was a little more complicated but I was amazed at how quickly all the girls remembered the moves! Kennedy is wearing a Blue shirt. She changed after lunch.

Busy Summer

 June 14th - Kashton goes to camp. He's wearing the white t-shirt.

Kashton went to back-to-back camps. He went to one and got home on Friday at noon. Turned around and left that afternoon for another!

These pics are from the first one. I don't have any of the other group. Some of these kids were also on his baseball team.

June 18th - I went to a friends for an afternoon of crafting. She lives where she frequently sees wildlife of all kinds. Especially deer and Canadian geese. I got to see a doe with twin fawns.

Not So Terrible Parable 061424

Kaston and Korin both participated in SMAK (Summer Music Activities for Kids) hosted by First Baptist Church. Kennedy was a helper. The Church has hosted this since Vanessa was little! It's like a Vacation Bible School except the kids learn a musical in 5 days!

Korin is on the back row just to the right of the left screen. Kashton is behind the man sitting in front of me. The man moves ever so slightly and you can see Kashton for a short time.
