October 4th

Kashton went with me to feed. I had discovered I still had Kennedy's rubber boots. She had outgrown them. I had Kashton see if he could wear them. They were a little big but they would work.

I needed to empty and clean the water tank so I told Kashton to wear the boots. You can see he had a good time playing in the mud!

Saw a beautiful sunset to boot!

Windmill 10-3

You can take the girl out of the farm but you can't take the farm out of the girl. There is definitely still lots of "farm" in me! I love windmills, hay fields, fields of crops, herds of cows, farm equipment in action and all things "country".

On my way to the vet clinic to get medicine for Kaidence I pass this field. This trip I caught them in the process of hauling hay out of the field.

Korin's 5th Birthday Party 9-28-19

Korin turned 5 years old on September 26th. The day of her birthday Kennedy had a volleyball game in the neighboring town of Weatherford. On the way she fell asleep. I thought this was too cute! Kashton's face says alot! He is a really good brother!

Since Korin's birthday fell on a Thursday, Vanessa planned her celebration on that Saturday September 28th.

The birthday theme was unicorns and rainbow colors.

Keannon's mother (Grandma) and Grammer.

The birthday girl!

Daddy cuts the cake.

Korin got a lot of nice gifts.

Granddad and I gave Korin a bike for her birthday.

It was a beautiful day although a bit windy. Korin had lots of guests, lots of presents and lots of fun!

Enjoying the Little Things

I get to see the neatest things in feeding the horses everyday. (9-24)

It must be the season for spiders as they are building webs everywhere! Although I'm not a big fan of spiders they are very interesting creatures! And their web building is intriguing!

I loved the silhouette  of this large garden spider with the setting sun in the background.

(9-24)

I saw this praying mantis one morning. (9-3)

This big bare spot is the circumference of a Red Ant mound. (9-25)

A close up.

Of course I most always enjoy watching the sunset. (9-2)

Each one is uniquely different! (9-30)

Kennedy CCS Volleyball 09-26-2019

September 26th is Korin's birthday. Kennedy had a volleyball game in a neighboring town. Vanessa invited me to go along.

Korin fell asleep on the 30 minute drive.

Kashton is a good big brother.

This was the first year that the school had volleyball for the elementary. All these girls are 4th graders All the teams they played had 5th and 6th graders. Most of these girls had not played volleyball before which also put them at a disadvantage.

Kennedy is #20.

During the game, Korin found a playmate. I think they are making snow angels without the snow 😄.

Keannon and his friend Omar. Two intense guys!

The boy between Keannon and Kashton is Omar's son, little Omar. He and Kashton are buds.

Not a great picture but you see Omar and Kashton together.

Kashton seems to really enjoy playing.

Drive Home 9-17

As we did going up we left early to home back to Texas. We didn't get as early a start. Worship on the Rocks wasn't over until 10:30. We didn't get back to Wayne's and in bed until nearly midnight so our plan to leave at 6:30 didn't happen. It was more like 7:15. Oh well, all is good. We had made up our minds we wouldn't allow ourselves to be rushed and stop as many times as we needed.

We stopped for fuel, food and potty break in Raton, New Mexico. On our way back we took a different route which took us through more of New Mexico. I didn't mind however as I got to see and take pictures of some Pronghorn sheep.

We actually passed them before I realized what they were. Vanessa asked me if I wanted to turn around. I said "yes please!"

We arrived in town about 9:30. It was a really long drive but it was a great trip.
