Dogs and Kids

Kennedy had spent the night as she often does. This was the eve of Valentine's Day. Doyle was at work. When I got up to get ready for work this is what I saw. I don't know about you but this just made me laugh!

In a little bit they both change positions!

That evening when I went to feed horses the moon was just gorgeous!

Seeing the moon from the horse pasture.

My camera just doesn't do it justice but it was a beautiful sight!

Have a good one!

Beautiful Sunset

It was a Wednesday night 3 weeks ago and Vanessa had asked if I could take Kennedy to church. She didn't feel up to going. I, of course, said "sure". I head to her house and noticed the sky was setting up to be a great sunset. I pickup Kennedy and as I drive down the hill I have to stop and take these pictures.

Even after we got to church it was still pretty.

Have a good one!

Our Lil' Man

Keannon has gone back to work in the oil field in the fracking end of the business. This causes him to be gone from home more. When he's not home I find Vanessa on my doorstep more often...not that I mind! One afternoon she and the kids came over. I took advantage of the opportunity to take some pictures of Kashton. He is such a happy little boy. Kennedy has a cardboard box that I bought at Michaels that you color. It's called the "Sweet Shop". It has doors and windows in it. Kashton discovered he could crawl into it and found the window! He had so much fun until he tried to steady himself and being made of cardboard...the box fell over!

Kashton messing with Momma while she's laying down to rest.

Kashton loves his Momma

Sweet kisses.

Kashton and Granddad.

Kennedy is a great sister. She's offering Kashton some of her apple.

Have a good one!

Retreat Results

I went to a scrapbooking retreat almost two weeks ago! I had a fabulous time and actually got quite a bit done. I must say I was pleased with my accomplishment. Cathy had gotten in several new papers and wanted some samples for the store so that was my jump start!
These papers and embellishments are from Reminisce. These are some pics of Doyle and his brother Doren playing golf at Mitchell Resort and RV Park where we have the retreats.

These papers and embellishments are from Reminisce also. These are pics of my niece Addison who is in the Marines. I must admit I "stole" these pics off her facebook to make this layout.

More Reminisce papers and embellishments. When I saw these papers I knew just what pictures I wanted to use! These are some pics I took with my phone camera making faces that I thought worked perfectly!

Easter papers and stickers from Reminisce. These were last years pics of Easter.

Some more Reminisce Easter.
I just love this picture of Kennedy and her friend Bailey having an egg hunt at "Mother's Day Out". I appreciate that Bailey's Mom got this picture! This is also from the Reminisce Easter Collection.

This is Authentique's Easter Collection.

These papers are from Echo Park. Vanessa got these pics for me of Kennedy's first day going back to Mother's Day Out. She calls it school. She looks so grown up here wearing her backpack and carrying her nap mat!

I still managed to take a little adventure while at the park. And was it an adventure! Look what I saw:

Yep....a coyote! Now I had a 75-300mm lens on my camera so he appears closer than he was. I saw him before he saw me. This is when he first noticed me.
This is what he did after he saw me. I was relieved that he ran but was a little unnerved when I saw movement out of the corner of my eye and realized that he had a companion that was closer to me than the other one was! Thankfully they both scurried off in the woods.

You know I'm going to watch the sunset. Loved how the clouds looked.
View over the tank.
We are so dry. This is a huge tank...the park calls it a lake but it is slowly drying up. See how there are areas of land showing up where there should be water?
Just beautiful!

Have a good one!

Look Who Turned One!

Happy Birthday Kashton Doyle Bailey! Yes, it was a year ago today!

Thanks to my dear friend Teresa Montalvo, we have good photos of this momentous day! It doesn't seem like it has been a year already.

He's not walking yet but he could! He just doesn't think he can! Sister walked 3 days before her birthday but Kashton is being his own person!

He's such a cutie and happy boy!

Mommy tried to wait until his birthday for a hair cut but it was getting pretty unruly and Daddy wanted to be there too so she scheduled an appointment with our family friend Leslie on February 19th.

Here Kashton is playing in the cardboard play store called"Sweet Shop" that belongs to Kennedy. He loved looking out the window!

Kashton with his new haircut and his stylist Leslie! He did really good! I was amazed at how well he did!

Hanging out at Sister's T-Ball practice.

Playing peak-a-boo!

He's begun to take a liking to me. He wants me to pick him up!

Just like I did his sister I set him on my counter top while fixing dinner. He seemed very content up there! This unfortunately isn't a good picture of Kennedy. She really didn't mind him sitting there with her.

Happy 1st Birthday Little Man! Savtah loves you much!

Look What I Can Do!

Kennedy has been in gymnastics for about a year. She is getting good at flips, tumbles, cartwheels and head stands. Its supposed to be a hand stand but she tends to rest on her head instead. She still has to use a wall to do it but considering she got in this position by herself is pretty impressive!

Don't you wish you were this flexible?!

Then there is the handsomest little boy ever! He is ALWAYS on the move. He is eleven months old today! He is crawling everywhere and climbing on everything!

Cold Weather = Time in the Craft Room

As you can see we've had some ice. This was Sunday. It was 80 on Friday. Thankfully the roads cleared quickly.

There is one benefit to having winter weather...I can spend more time in my craft room. Cathy, owner of Cat's Creations Scrapbooks, had given me samples of new product to make pages to display in the store. She went to CHA a couple of weeks ago. Some new product has already begun to arrive at the store.

This layout is made with Bo Bunny's "Baby Bump" collection. This line is not in the store yet but will be coming. These are pics of Vanessa when she was pregnant with Kashton and announced he was a boy. We were celebrating her birthday which was September.

Here is a closer look at the left page of the layout.
Right page of the layout. Her friend Nikki was also pregnant and due December 6th.

Here is a two page layout using Adorn It "Crazy for Daises Sunshine"

These papers are currently in the store.

This layout was made using Adorn It "Crazy for Daisies Juicy Fruit" collection. I apologize for all the different colors. I was at the store when I finished this layout and didn't have my usual "white" backdrop" for taking pictures.

Thanks for stopping by. Hoping to work in my art journal the next few days. I'm already a week behind :(

Have a good one!
