One day while I was organizing in my craft room I came across some "puff paints" I had bought and used on a T-shirt for Vanessa...some time ago! I started to throw them out when I just as quickly had the thought that Kennedy would enjoy playing with them.
The next time she came over I let her do just that! Here is the layout.
To jump start my creativity I looked at the sketch from Sketch Inspiration provided for Cat's Creations Customers. The left page of this layout out is "loosely" based on this sketch.
Here is a close up of of the left side of the layout.
The design papers I used for this layout are from Fancy Pants "Childish" collection. For the background I used the paper "Recorder". The letters for my title are from the paper "Blocks". I cut out the letters I wanted to use for my title and then matted them with cardstock. For some interest I put chipboard behind the letters to give it some dimension. As an extra touch I put a large bling on the letter "i". The blue circle with stars is a paper filter embellishment that came with this line. The decorate strip under the title is from the paper "Childish Things Strip". I just love the picture of Kennedy's hands spreading the paint on the paper.
This is the coordinating page. I used some more of the paper filter embellishments. I pleated the filters then added a button with twine. The strip with the word "dreamer" is from the paper "Childish Things Strip". I then added 3 buttons with twine.
I am entering this layout in WOW Wednesday at Cat's Creations. Be sure to leave me a comment and have a chance to win a prize. A random commenter will be chosen.

Farm Life
Farm Life is a new paper collection from Best Creations. I love this paper. They also have a beach and BBQ line. Although we don't live on a farm, since I have a horse I do have access to one! I knew I had some pictures that would be just perfect for these papers.
Cat's Creations Blog has started having a sketch challenge the first and third Wednesdays of the month. For this first layout I used Sketch Inspirations Exclusive sketch #2 for Cat's Creations customers.
Here is the left side of my 2 page layout using this sketch.
This is my granddaughter Kennedy at about 15months old. This picture was taken March 2011. The place where I kept my horse had goats and their were having babies. One of the momma's needed some medical attention so she and her twin kids were in the barn. Kennedy liked the goats and tried to hold them.
Here is the right side. I didn't use a sketch with it. The checkered circle that I used on the left page I filled with another circle I had cut out of another paper. I then took and outlined the circle with twine.
For my next 2 page layout I used the 2 page CatNanDo sketch#2 created by Cathy Beaty the owner of Cat's Creations.
This is the paper I used for the left side of my layout. I wanted to show you what it looked like first because what I did to it really changed the look of it.
Here is the right side of the CatNanDo sketch#2

The people had a little gator for their grandkids and would let Kennedy ride it when she came out. She thought she was pretty hot stuff! Remember that if you want a closer look click on the picture to enlarge or go to Cat's Creations Scrapbooks where these layouts will be hanging in the store.
Here are the two pages together.
I am entering both layouts in Cat's Scratch Fever Challenge. This challenge is for 2 weeks so you still have time to try your hand with these sketches. Leave me a comment and have a chance to win a prize from Cat's Creations.

This is Kennedy July of last year. She is 2yrs and 7 mos here. The wood-like paper I created using cream colored cardstock and a woodgrain embossing folder by Sizzix. Once embossed, I inked with Tim Holtz Distressed Vintage Photo wiping the pad directly against the embossed areas of the paper. I then went over the paper again with a blending tool. I really like the effect. Here is the right side of the CatNanDo sketch#2

Sneak Peak
As the countdown to Christmas continues I've been feverishly shopping, wrapping gifts, making and addressing Christmas cards.
It's WOW Wednesday at Cat's Creations. Here's a peak at some of what I've been working on.
Last Saturday I managed to create a 2 page layout using the new Fancy Pants Blissful Blizzard Collection with pics from the snow we had February of last year and sketch#350 from Sketch Inspiration.
I've also been working on a special project. I can't fully disclose what just yet but I can give you some sneak peaks.
Have I peaked your curiosity? Stay tuned. I'll reveal more later :)
Remi came for visitation last Friday. I had been wanting to get some pics of the girls with the Christmas tree in the Brazos Mall right outside Cat's Creations. I got that accomplished Sunday.
I wish I had been paying closer attention and noticed those people walking by. I was too focused on the girls. Kennedy is especially hard to get good pictures of right now.
This was the best I could get. Although later I discovered some of her uncooperativeness was due to the fact she didn't feel good. She started running fever while we were eating lunch.
Kennedy turned 3 today. Although we already had a party, I invited the kids over for dinner to celebrate her birthday. I cooked her favorite...mac & cheese.
I couldn't resist buying some little something to have ON her birthday. I found this little stamp set by Melissa & Doug at Tractor Supply of all places! Kennedy loved it!
It came with an ink pad...that's the empty spot in the box.
Don't forget to leave me a comment. Doing so will give you a chance at some blog candy from Cat's Creations. A random commenter will be chosen. Be sure to check out and comment on other bloggers who link up to Cat's Creations Blog. Who knows, you might even get some inspiration!

Calculating and Computing
Today is WOW Wednesday at Cat's and I'm sharing a two page layout I created.
I used sketch#349 from Sketch Inspiration.
On the right side I flipped the sketch and tweaked a bit to coordinate with the other page. I used Teresa Collins new fall collection "Now and Then". These are pics of my granddaughter Kennedy with her Granddad taken a year ago. She loves to go into his office playing with his calculator and with his help the computer so I titled this layout "Calculating and Computing.
Here is a close up of the left side.
Here's a close up of the right side. For something different I drug out my needle, thread and templates to add some stitching. I don't do this often as it is too time consuming but I do like the look!
Saturday was my husband's birthday. Bless his heart, he had to work so we celebrated on Sunday. This is the card I made for him.
If this card looks familiar it's because I did make some cards very similar to this for Operation Write Home. You can find them here if you would like to see. I used a OWH sketch #133.
Be sure to leave me a comment for a chance to win some blog candy being offered by Cat's Creations. A random commentor will be picked from all of those who have linked up to Cat's Creations Blog. Someone will win. It might as well be you!
