After a good night's rest we were ready to take on the world! Well, not exactly but it sounded good!
After breakfast, Doyle asked if I would like to hike around a bit. Why of course I would!
This is the view from where we are staying from outside the house (away from power lines). Isn't it beautiful?!
Doyle leading the way. The depth of snow is very deceiving. Where we are walking has been packed down. If you get off the trail you sink down into the snow!
Of course I have to take a "shadow" picture!
Our host and hostess had things to do that day so after we get back from our walk we took the kids to find something fun to do. Where we were staying was within a five minute drive of Keystone ski resort. There is a frozen lake there that you can ice skate on. We thought that would be fun and it was!
Daddy helping Kennedy. She did not feel good the whole time we were in Colorado. We think she might have been having trouble adjusting to the altitude.
Vanessa learned to skate when she was little so she wasn't too sure she would do very well but in just a few minutes she was skating like a champ!
Vanessa got a sled for Kashton and Korin to ride in. This is Korin. She didn't like the sled at all! Vanessa had set her down in the sled and she turned herself on her tummy!
Korin is not a happy camper!
Kashton loved the sled and thought it was great fun!
Granddad skating with Vanessa pulling Kashton in the sled.
Yes, he can ice skate and snow ski. Is there anything he can't do?
Keannon can ice skate as well!
Kashton....Mr. Joe Cool!
Miss Priss....Korin (17 mos).
Kennedy taking a spin in the sled.
Sisters!
Aren't they sweet?!

There were a few falls but this one was actually on purpose or at least that's Keannon's story and he's sticking to it!
Have a good one!
Oops. A fall on purpose? Yeah right. LOL Great vacation fun!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I thought Sandy but he's swearing that's the truth!
