Jacob and Alyssia's Wedding 02-17-2023

 Jacob, Vanessa's youngest brother got married February 17, 2023. The whole family including Remi were in the wedding!

It was a beautiful ceremony in the ballroom of the Crazy Water Hotel. These pictures were taken on top of the Crazy Water as you can see the Baker Hotel in the background.

Korin Plays Basketball 02-11-2023

Vanessa signed Korin up to play Upward Basketball. It's a basketball program through a local church that teaches kids the fundamentals of basketball as well as sportsmanship and teamwork.

They don't really compete with one another but scrimmage each other. This was the only "game" I was able to attend.

I took a short video clip of her playing.

She has the ball!

She dribbles!

and she loses the ball.

Korin hasn't quite found what she likes to do yet. Vanessa wanted her to at least give basketball a try.

Remi Receives Award 2-5-2023

Remi received "Rookie of the Year" at her school February 5th for Cross Country. We are so excited for

her. She seems to love it.

Beautiful Girl 02.04.2023

 Kennedy went to the private school's winter formal called "Snowcoming" February 4th. Their friend and neighbor Halli did her make up and hair. She took some pictures of her before she went.

Here they are in Halli's front yard.

How did she get to be 13 and why does she look older than that?!

Evening with the Grands 02.02.2023

 Vanessa planned to go out of town for her future sister-in-laws bachelorette weekend. She asked me to come spend the night with the kids.

I went to feed horses before going over to the kids. I saw several deer on the property near the horses
pasture.

I used my zoom lens to try not to scare them.

You can see that they noticed me but didn't run.

One of those bucks has lot half his horns!

I get to the house bringing dinner. After we eat, Kashton wanted to play Jenga.

We played a couple of rounds. He won the first time. This is the second round right before he makes the stack fall!

Winter Storm 013023

We had a first bout of winter weather January 30th.

I left the office and stopped at the bank on my way home to make a deposit for the church. While I was in the bank the sleet started to fall.

After I got home the sleet was heavier.

I didn't go to work for two days. Schools were out for 3 days. I did go into work Thursday afternoon when the temps got above freezing and helped melt the ice.

I did get out to care for the horses but that's all the driving I did.

Korin Finally Gets a Turn 012423

 

Seems that Korin had been bugging her mom to ride but no one had told me. This is a screen shot of the message Vanessa sent me on January 14th.

We finally made a plan to do it on January 24th. As you can tell it was a mild day.

Korin wanted to ride but wasn't really interested in doing it by herself. She chose to ride Diamond.

I lead her around. She wanted to ride longer than I thought she would. When we were finished, Diamond and I had walked 2 miles!
