Kashton's First Time to Feed

The day after Christmas Keannon left to pick up and bring home Remi. Vanessa needed to do some
things to prepare for our Christmas the next day and asked if I would mind watching Kennedy and Kashton. After a while Kennedy asked about going to our neighbor's to play with her girls. Their Mom said they were about to go to Clark Gardens for the afternoon and invited Kennedy to go with them.

It got time to feed horses and Kennedy wasn't back yet so I took Kashton. He talks about "whorsies" all the time. I think he's going to be my little "horse lover"!

He was afraid of the horses at first. After I reassured him I would keep him safe I got him to pet each one.

I got him to help me put out the hay.

She finally did turn around.

We also got to see another beautiful sunset!

Christmas Day

Christmas Day, I started my day with the horses. Diamond let me indulge in some fun! Isn't he a handsome guy?! Fancy is is the background to the right. You can't see him but Clyde is right behind her.

Next I got Fancy to pose with me. I sent this picture to her previous owner. She was happy to hear from me.

Doyle was on duty at the fire station. Just the way it fell this year. The kids wanted to wait until Remi got here to do Christmas.

Our stockings have grown in number so I had to move mine and Doyle's up for them all to fit!

Christmas Day was rather quiet but I kind of liked it. Dad and Barbara were still here. They invited me to go for a walk with them. It was beautiful Christmas Day with the high about 60. We had made plans to go to my brother's that night.

I fed horses earlier that night so we could go to my brothers. Although I didn't get a sunset picture I found the cloud formations very interesting.

Another Beautiful Evening

Two days before Christmas produced another pretty sunset.

I got this ornament when we went to the Gaylord for Kennedy's birthday. It looks similar to the ice sculpture we saw. It is battery operated and lights the ornament with changing colors. Pretty cool!

This ornament I bought last year at our local Christian bookstore. I really like it.

Fiery Sky

The time of day I usually feed in the evenings ends up being around sunset. It's a good for me as I have a decent view of the sky from there. On Monday December 22nd, I went out to feed. I am still getting acquainted with my new horse Fancy.

The sky begins to fill with color every so slightly.

Then the sky seemed to explode with color!

This view is looking a little more left or Southwest.

It was beautiful to watch!

Addison Home for Christmas

Addison has been in the Marines for 2 years. This past year she has been serving in Japan. She came home for Christmas December 15th. My Dad and Barbara came to visit December 18th and stayed through Christmas Day.

It's pretty obvious I didn't take this picture. Don't I have beautiful nieces! Addison is on the left and Destiny on the right.

We got together at Wayne's house on Sunday evening December 21st. Before heading out to my brother's, I fed horses. After several cloudy and gloomy days the sun began to peak out just before sunset.

Aren't we a lively bunch?!

 My brother's girlfriend, Kelley (the one with the gray blanket) helped liven us up with a game called "Heads Up". It's a game that can be played with a ipad or any type of pad.

We tried playing using the TV but we had technical difficulties.

Even Doyle played. You pick a category. Then you show the word to the group. The group tries to help you guess what it is without using the word and you see how many you can get right. It was pretty fun.

There was even a category easy enough for Kennedy to play!

Christmas Cards

Happy New Year! Wow! The last two weeks have been a whirl-wind! I did manage to make a few Christmas cards this year. If you didn't get one I'm sorry. I was extremely late getting out what few I sent. I had good intentions...I do every year but each year I seem to get later and later sending them out! I would like to think that if know me, my "not sending a card this year" won't affect our relationship :). At least I hope not! Anyway, here's a sampling of a few cards I made.

This card I created using a stamp set from Unity Stamp Co. I chose to heat emboss this image. I used Versa Mark ink. I used white embossing powder for the sentiment and the manager. I used the gold embossing powder for the stars.

This next card I used heat and dry embossing to create it. I used black cardstock for the base of the card. Then I used smooth white cardstock and an embossing folder from Stamp'in Up. The image is another stamp set from Unity Stamp Co.















This card was made using a background stamp from Impression Obsession. The ornament was a die cut. This is not an original design but a copy of a card that was a Make-N-Take at a Scrapbook retreat. I used gold embossing powder to heat emboss the image.

I made the card again with silver. I think I like the gold better.

This card was made using a stamp set from Stampin' Up called Evergreen. I inked the tree image stamped once on a scrap piece of paper then stamped the image on the card. I then stamped the words over the tree. I actually liked how this turned out!
