Christmas Day

We head to the kids Christmas morning. We arrive about 8:30am. I figured the kids would already be
engaged with opening gifts but Vanessa managed to hold them off until we got there.

Vanessa took this picture of the tree on Christmas Eve. This beautiful tree belonged to my brother. When we were visiting in September he gave it to Vanessa and we hauled it home! It's a perfect fit!

The kids before the mayhem with their Christmas pajamas and their cat Cinderella.
Remi (11) Korin (5) Kashton (6) Kennedy (10).

Remi had surgery on her foot Dec 4th. She was having pain in her foot. X-rays revealed she had an extra bone in her foot that was pushing against ligaments and tendons. She was non-weight bearing for 6 weeks.

Korin gets twin baby dolls and is thrilled! This child is all about babies....all...the...time!

Kennedy is thrilled to get her own foot spa!

I'm a little jealous over this gel pen set!

Keannon always likes getting his favorite team's apparel.

Vanessa got all the girls fashion glasses. Kennedy is showing off hers.

Kashton is so expressive when opening gifts!

Granddad got some new threads too!

Since Remi travels so much, Vanessa got her a rolling monogrammed suitcase.

Remi's response says it all!

Probably the most thoughtful and emotional gift was the gift Keannon got for Vanessa (we and other family members contributed). Keannon paid for Vanessa to get her real estate license again. Classes begin this month. She is already in her 2nd week of school as of this writing.

She was totally surprised and overwhelmed!

But very grateful!

Grammer got the card table she wanted.

Last but not least....the BIG gift for all the kids. Vanessa gives them the rules and guidelines (must share....will be taken away if rules aren't followed, etc)

Remi and Kennedy figure it out pretty quick. It's a gaming system.

Kashton figures it out!

Grammer and Jacob. Jacob is Vanessa's youngest half brother.

Once the gaming system was opened they were getting Dad to hook it up so they could play.

After opening gifts it was time for the traditional breakfast feast!
Bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits and pancakes.

Pancakes are Remi's favorite!

Vanessa found this shirt and just had to get it for Remi!

Chowing down!

Kennedy and Remi enjoying the foot spa.

Kashton got a cool Hot Wheel track. He wanted to put it together but Dad was playing a game with the girls so I helped him put most of it together. We wanted for Dad to attach it to the wall.  Here is a short video.

Grammer wanted a picture with the kids before she left.

It was a great day and a great Christmas!

Have a good one!
