Kashton is playing soccer this fall. His dad and his dad's best friend are coaching the team. Kashton is also friends the his son.
Keannon and his friend Omar. Two intense guys!
The boy between Keannon and Kashton is Omar's son, little Omar. He and Kashton are buds.
Not a great picture but you see Omar and Kashton together.
Kashton seems to really enjoy playing.

Drive Home 9-17
As we did going up we left early to home back to Texas. We didn't get as early a start. Worship on the Rocks wasn't over until 10:30. We didn't get back to Wayne's and in bed until nearly midnight so our plan to leave at 6:30 didn't happen. It was more like 7:15. Oh well, all is good. We had made up our minds we wouldn't allow ourselves to be rushed and stop as many times as we needed.
We stopped for fuel, food and potty break in Raton, New Mexico. On our way back we took a different route which took us through more of New Mexico. I didn't mind however as I got to see and take pictures of some Pronghorn sheep.
We actually passed them before I realized what they were. Vanessa asked me if I wanted to turn around. I said "yes please!"
Watching the sunset in the mirror driving through the panhandle of Texas.
We arrived in town about 9:30. It was a really long drive but it was a great trip.

Worship on the Rocks 9-16
The day Vanessa and I both came for ... Worship on the Rocks! Red Rocks Amphitheater was about 30 minutes from Wayne's. Worship on the Rocks didn't start until 6PM. Vanessa had made us dinner reservations at Ship Rock Grill there at the venue for 4:30PM. We wanted to walk around checking out the area so we left Wayne's around lunch time.
This is the first parking lot. We got there early enough that is where we parked. Vanessa's car is the white suburban on the front row.
This is the entrance into the venue and the restaurant Ship Rock Grill.
The view from our table.
Cool menu!
This is what Vanessa ordered
This is what I ordered.
Top of the amphitheater with vendors.
View of the amphitheater from the top.
We chose to sit close to the top so we could see more and it wasn't as loud there either!
Even after it started people were still arriving.
There were about 8,000 people there!
Vanessa and I watched a Thunderstorm in the distance. Watching it lightning and then this glimpse of a rainbow.
After the sun went down, the backdrop of Denver behind the stag,e was beautiful.
Watching the moon rise over the skyline of Denver's lights was so cool!
It's hard for me to put into words just how powerful and thrilling this experience was. Worshiping under the night sky in such a beautiful surrounding with others who love God is an experience I will not forget.
Vanessa and I were both very aware of God's presence.
Here is a short clip.

Colorado 9-15
On Sunday we made plans to see Addison and Kai. We also were able to connect with Remi's mother and she agreed to let us take Remi to lunch! Score!! They both live in the same town which was about an hour and 30 minutes from Wayne's.
We arrive at Addison's and drop off Wayne and Kelley and take the car to go pickup Remi for lunch.
We asked our waitress to take a picture for us.
A quick selfie before we take Remi back home.
Then it was on to Addison's. The last time we saw Kai was July 4th weekend. Of course he has grown and changed. He is 7 months here.
It was so pretty outside we enjoyed it for a little while. I sneaked this picture of Wayne.
Addison.
Wayne with Kai.
Kelley (Nana) has the magic touch.
While we were outside I saw this. It looks like the spider has the bug but it is actually the other way around. I saw something moving and when I looked closer this bug is actually dragging the spider across the concrete!
This is were Addison lives. Beautiful view with the mountains in the distance.
More on the Colorado trip in another post.
