I decided to join Unity's {Show & Tell} Facebook page. It is a great place to get inspired and see how
others use their Unity Stamps. You will have to request to join to be added to the group.
I don't usually make tags as I never quite know what to do with them. I figure it is always good to be challenged. I then got the idea that these could be used for bookmarks or just a fun way to bring some encouragement to someone. It could be used for a gift tag, hang on the refrigerator or any place you want to see it.
The only rule is to use a "Unity Stamp" which I have plenty of!
I had been wanting to use this girl for a while and decided to use her on this tag.
This is "Harper Girl" from the Angiegirls collection. The words are also part of this stamp set.
I took a #8 manila tag and used Tim Holtz Distress inks blending with a Tim Holtz blending tool. I used several different inks and can't remember now exactly what I used 😖. I stamped Harper girl and colored her with Copic Markers, then cut her out. I used a red Pear Pen for the hearts, I used foam tape to give the girl some dimension.
The words I used different colors and heat embossed each one then inked with Distress Ink Antique Linen to coordinate with the tag. I also put foam tape behind them. I finished the tag with some western ribbon.
I do have someone in mind that I may give this to who could use a little encouragement right now.
Thanks for taking a look!
Have a good one!
Look at you! You are so creative and really should join in on other challenges! Your tag is fabulous. I find they are great gifts on their own or really decorate up a package or gift bag.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandy! I just needed to have some help changing my thinking on tags. It really is a very versatile gift!
