Twas the night before Christmas
and the sun had set
with clouds in the sky
giving the promise of wet.
The moon not quite full
dimly seen through the clouds
gave an eerie feeling
to me on the ground.
The stockings were all hung
on the wall with great care
Stuffed full to to the brim
with no room to spare.
The tree fully decorated
with gifts all around
and there are more Christmas
decorations to be found
The front door is covered in
Christmas attire
With Christmas cards on the wall
from family and friends to admire.
The Nativity scene is set to remind us of the reason
We celebrate and enjoy this wonderful season.
Merry Christmas!
I absolutely *LOVE* this - your creativity is amazing. I could not have come up with a poem this good!
ReplyDeletethanks Allison! I kind of surprised myself!
DeleteLove this! Wish I'd turned on the computer and seen it sooner! We had our Christmas and family dinner on Christmas Eve night and then after everyone left we had those thunderstorms move in and I unplugged the computer and didn't really get back on it until yesterday and that was for work stuff. So I missed seeing this Christmas Eve. Your poem and photos are wonderful!

Thanks Sandy!
DeleteOh I just loved your poem and pics! I have that same stuffed nativity set that I made when my daughter was born. I put it out every year along with the Fisher Price set. Of course my kids are too big for it now, but maybe someday my grandkids will enjoy them! I've been making a lot of cards, but can't upload them because of computer problems.
ReplyDeleteThank you Pam! I'm not usually poetic but when I started it just flowed! How cool that we have the same nativity! Kennedy just loves it! Yes...one day you will have grandkids and they will enjoy them! Bummer you can't upload to the computer. Hope you can get that issue resolved soon. You do such beautiful work!
