What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday #156

It's Workdesk Wednesday. How did it get here so fast? My desk was clean and empty of any projects at the beginning of the day and I started to take a pic but how boring is that? I kept my granddaughter over Memorial Day weekend and Memorial Day. She's 2 yrs and 5 months. She keeps me hopping! I love her dearly and love doing things with her but needless to say I can't sit at my desk for very long! I did however spend some time in my craft room today working on a page layout of my Lil' Peanut's first haircut.

The hairdresser (who happens to be a very close family friend) cut her hair. She provided a certificate for scrapbooking and a lock of her hair in a little plastic baggie! She understands the importance of scrapbooking as her mother and I are best friends and we scrapbook together.  The first paper I was going to use for this layout is in the upper corner of this photo. It actually has the words first haircut on it but the colors are all wrong for the pictures I have so I decided to use some of the new Bo Bunny line "Alora"

Rather simple but here's the finished layout.

Now if your curious...go check out some of the other workdesks by going to Julie's Stamping Ground Blog. Have a good one!

  1. Hi Valerie, yep know about scrapping the "little" things as really they are the BIG things - LOL. You could say I am MRS Scrapbooking as I scrap all our day to day piccys even down to the new dishwasher!!!
Loving your pages including the lock of hair what a great idea (must note that down for my friend's mini album on her 2nd child) I can see you have got the WOYWW bug then - LOL BJ #35

  2. It is so important to scrap everything you can about the children as they grow up way to fast.

    Happy crafting,

  3. How awesome that the hairdresser gives out a certificate and a lock of hair! Would you believe that there is a lock of my hair in my baby book and it's still intact! Guess maybe it lasts forever! was blonde. Yep. Blonde. Ha, ha. Glad to see you sharing again this week after all for WOYWW!

  4. Sweet layout. How fun that you got a lock of hair to include! Your granddaughter really did well at her first haircut--no crying or carrying on. My little brother liked his first haircut so much, he went home and cut some more.

  5. Hi Valerie, thanks for popping in to visit me.Your scrapbook pages are lovely, I really like the haircut papers but the Bo Bunny "Alora" design works so well. What a lovely keepsake you will have for your granddaughter to see when she grows up.

  9. Thanks for stopping by my workspace and leaving such a thoughtful comment! Your layout looks like it is coming along very well and what a treat for your granddaughter to have that memory so well documented and preserved. :)

  10. How nice to have your granddaughter so close to you! That's cool that they have "certificates" of the first haircut -- very cute! I have my baby book but my mom wasn't that good about writing in it - although my first word was bird!

    Thanks for visiting me!
