Isn't this so cool? This is looking to the East and the sun has set.
The sky is so pretty to me.
If you look closely you can make out the faint rays of light. This is looking to the Northwest with the church in the background.
I was on my way home and decided to try to get this pretty sky behind the Baker Hotel. You can see it to the right in this photograph.
I love this picture.
Have a good one!

Beautiful Evening

In Awe
The clouds were pretty to me.
Then the rays began to show.
As I was leaving the horses I looked back toward the barn and was surprised by what I saw! I've never seen this before. This is the opposite direction of the sunset. How is this possible?!
I took the above picture from across the street. I turned and looked up to see the birds on the wires and the moon!
On my way home I am still seeing the rays and stopped to take this picture by a church.
If you look close you can see the rays in this picture with the moon.
The sky was so pretty! I was in awe!
Have a good one!

Beautiful Evening
Labor Day September 5, 2016 was a beautiful evening.
The sunset itself wasn't all that colorful
but it sure produced some colorful clouds!
I find it so interesting how the birds all gather on utility lines. It seems to happen this time of year.
There was a thunderhead in the distance.
I wished it showed a little better but I love this picture of the night sky with the slither of moon.
A beautiful end to Labor Day.
Have a good one!

Family Bike Ride
Riding on the Rails to Trails Monday September 5th.
Venturing off trail to visit a friend of Keannon and Vanessa's that just moved his business here.
Kashton says "Savtah, why are you taking a picture of me?"
I say, "Because that's what I do!"
Kashton and Mommy.
Me and Kennedy.
We rode to Chicken Express which is 1.5 miles from the trail head where we started and had a drink and let the kids rest. (Or maybe it was the adults who needed the rest)
On our way back.
Keannon and Korin.
We had a great ride!

Mom's Birthday
Saturday, September 3rd was Mom's birthday. She had learned that Addison was home on a 10 day leave the day I left for the scrapbook retreat. Mom wanted all of us to have a chance to see her and made arrangements with Addison to come here. We got an extra surprise as Destiny came with her!
We met at my house to visit. Addison brought a friend. They just started dating but they knew each other from high school. I thought he was pretty brave to come with her to see people he didn't know!
Destiny had worked at the hospital the night before and she was functioning on about 3 hrs of sleep!
Kennedy wanted everyone to meet Cliff, the Guinea pig.
Korin wanted to hold Cliff.
Korin is so darn cute!
After visiting we went to dinner. The owner of the restaurant was kind enough to take this for us.
They did bring out a dessert but Vanessa had brought her something she could ear.
Another picture taken by the restaurant. Not the best but the only other one I have of the group.
I did manage to get a picture of Mom with the girls.
I think overall she had a pretty good birthday!
Have a good one!

Star Burst Sunset
Friday September 2nd it was nearly dark when I went to feed. There wasn't a cloud in the sky so although the sunset was pretty there wasn't a lot of different colors. However....this is when I sometimes see what I call the "starburst effect".
It happens after the sun has gone down below the horizon.
As I am leaving the barn the one streak caught my attention. It was a little unusual as I typically see several rays. I kept watching.
It seemed to be "growing".
Do you notice how it's changed?!

My finally shot before I go home. Pretty cool huh?!
Have a good one!
