A Little This and That

 August 1st I made a trip to the vet in the neighboring community of Millsap. I love this drive. This is a field I passed on the way.

August 2nd - It must be the time of year for spiders as I am seeing them everywhere especially at the horse pasture.

August 5th - cool moon

and beautiful sunset.

August 12th - found this large butterfly on one of our hedges.

August 13th - Doyle and I went to the Hole-in-the-Wall Grill and Bier Garten for dinner and live music. The Baker towers in the background of the patio. The waitresses noticed the moon was in the window of the bell tower. I thought it was pretty neat.

I saw this beautiful sunset while I was feeding horses. I loved how the sun rays streaked the sky over the church.

Kashton Spends the Night 7-30

Kashton spent the night on July 29th then went to work with me on Friday July 30th.

I treated Kashton to the Donut Palace.

After work Vanessa had forgotten she had made him a hair appointment and asked if I could take him.

I didn't mind. I always enjoying seeing Leslie!

This is Kashton's "before school starts" hair cut.

He went for a buzz on each side and mohawk on top.

Pretty happy with his new look!

We saw this interesting looking moth on the side of the house. It almost acted like it was dead as it wasn't bothered by us looking closely at it.

Kashton wanted to help me cook dinner. I let him help me cut up potatoes. He did a great job!

The kids headed home on July 25th.

They had a great time and plan to go back and have asked us to go with them next year. We're thinking about it.

The forecast called for rain so Vanessa arranged for them to go into the town of Destin to see a movie.

Nothing like ice cream to end the night.

Welcome Florida! 7-21

The kids cross the Florida state line Sunday July 21st.

The scenery is already beautiful!

Once they reach their destination (they stayed just outside of Destin). Vanessa took the kids to the beach while Keannon set up the camper. After being in a vehicle for 7 hours those kids were definitely ready for some beach time!

Korin couldn't wait to play in the beautiful white sand.

The other three are enjoying riding the small waves with boards.
