I was talking to someone after I had been at the State Park on Tuesday and they said they saw a Monarch
butterfly in their yard. I knew it was about the time of year that they come through Texas on their migration to Mexico.
I thought the best place to see them, if they were truly here, is at Clark Gardens which is about 15 minutes from us. It is so beautiful. I really should come out more often.
We had a threat of storms Friday October 24th. Many high schools including Millsap moved their Friday night game to Thursday. I was unable to attend a photographer who takes pictures for Millsap got some pictures better than I could have anyway.
Kennedy is at the back of the girls that are still information.
I didn't attend this game because Kennedy has been having trouble with her knee and I didn't think she would cheer. I don't think she did much.
Click here for a one minute clip of my reflection and gratitude.
I think I have taken pictures of this rock every time I've been here. It still intrigues me.
End of the day at the scenic view.
From the scenic view overlooking the lake. I've taken many pictures of this view as well!
Sun just setting behind the horizon.
It was just what I needed. My plan is to try to schedule at least one time a week in the outdoors while the weather holds. I will have to be intentional! My week fills up really quick. I don't come out over the weekend as that's when out of towners are here and it is really busy! The middle of the week is best. Hardly anyone is here!
