A Little Crafting Going On

I haven't done a lot of crafting over the holidays but some. Here are some page layouts I created to hang in the store at Cat's Creations.

Here is the left side of my two page layout of Kashton using the "You & Me" Collection from Pebbles.

 The right side.

Another two page layout I made using My Minds Eye "Cut & Paste" Collection. This is the left side.

The right side. My Dad and stepmother with Kennedy and Kashton when they visited in July.

Hope I gave you a little inspiration to go create some pages yourself!

Have a good one!

Fun with Kashton

Dad and Barbara came for a short visit a week before Christmas. They got here on Tuesday the day before Kennedy's birthday and left Sunday.

We managed to get some of us together on Saturday morning for breakfast.

Dad enjoyed time with Kashton.

so did mom!

Kashton found Kennedy's Pooh Bear plane. This picture doesn't really tell the story but he really loved it.

Kashton (9mos) is following in his sister footsteps pulling up to the piano!

This is Kennedy at 9 mos.

Kashton seemed very proud of himself! I must admit I was proud too!

I thought it would be fun to make some comparisons!

The Sunday Before Christmas

Remi arrived on Saturday just in time to attend the Church's Christmas party. On Sunday Vanessa had dressed the girls in Christmas dresses. They were so cute. The girls wanted to sit with me. It's really hard to keep these three quiet during church! The red head is Krystal the girls cousin. She is the same age as Remi.

The kids came over for lunch after church. Before Kennedy got totally undressed I managed to get some pictures. She had on white tights with her dress but had them pulled off before I could even get in the house!

They look so grown up here!

Remi (5) Kennedy (4) Kashton (9 mos)

I was very pleased with this picture! Mom and the "great grands"

I believe I will get some enlargements of these!

Have a good one!

Christmas Let-Down

Does anyone else have problems with feeling "let down" after Christmas? It just seems to be over so quick! We start getting bombarded with Christmas music, advertising and merchandise in the stores earlier and earlier every year. By the time I'm "in the mood" or feel the "Christmas Spirit" it's over and life is back to the normal routine. I would like to figure out how to maintain what one feels during this time of year at least through the New Year. Maybe that's just "child-like" thinking. Maybe...it's just me.

We went to my brothers for Christmas on Friday. Now that all the kids are adults, it is increasingly difficult to get everyone at the same place at the same time. We were missing Addison at Thanksgiving and we missed Taylor and Keannon for the Christmas gathering.

I just love my brother's tree. He said the girls decorated it.

Wayne, Addison and Destiny. Taylor had to work so he wasn't here. Addison will be going to Japan after the 1st of the year for a two year stint.

Four generations. The first we had taken since Kashton was born!

The girls love their brother but he wants to be on the MOVE!

Me and the hubs.

Me and my brother!

Remi loves her brother!

Merry Christmas

The thing about having adult children with their own families is they want to have their own traditions.

I understand that and do want that for them. No matter how good the change maybe, change isn't easy to make!

Christmas morning we load up our gifts and head to the kids house.

Kajen was very excited to see us and would not leave either of us alone!

Another long-time family tradition is to read the Christmas story from the Bible. In the age of modern technology Keannon read the Christmas story from the Bible using a Bible app on his phone!

Can you tell that Kennedy is a "Doc McStuffins" fan?

Remi checking out what is in her stocking.

Kashton seeing what Granddad is up too!

such a cutie!

A gift for both girls! They were pretty happy about this!

Mom pretty excited about her new laptop computer from me, Doyle and my brother, Wayne.
Kashton thinks it's more fun to climb on his presents!

Keannon was thrilled with his new miter saw.

At the suggestion of a friend I got Keannon and Vanessa a gift certificate for 5 dance lessons. They were totally surprised and can't wait to register!

Mom and I in the kitchen making breakfast.

While we are making breakfast Keannon puts together toys that need assembling.

Kennedy prayed for our food before we ate. We had a feast of scrambled eggs, pancakes and sausage.

Both girls love their new make-up vanity!

Kashton really liked the little scooter we got him.

A little color to end the day.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

Twas the night before Christmas
and all through my house
is the smell of fresh baked cookies
that will melt in your mouth!

The stockings were all hung
on our wall with great care
There are two new additions
hanging up there!

Kashton in March and in August
came Gracie
I didn't hang stockings for
Diamond, Patches or Dixie

I am still wrapping gifts
I was slow in my shopping
While Doyle watches Christmas movies
on the hallmark channel

The kids came by
to open Christmas Eve gifts
After a full day with family
the kids were just spent

They all liked their new jammies
And I got them to pose
Although Kaston wouldn't cooperate
He was tired I suppose.

The day nearly done
 I'm calling it a wrap.
Merry Christmas to all
Now how did you like that?
