Yellow and Black Card Challenge

The Challenge over at Cards in Envy is "Yellow and Black".

This card is really pretty simple. Using Distress Ink "Mustard See" I covered the background then splattered some water on it. Next I stamped the butterfly from Unity's Kit of the Month May 2017 multiple times using Versa Fine Clair Nocturne ink. I stamped one butterfly on another paper, cut out and put foam tape under it to give it dimension. The sentiment is from a Unity Kit of the Month 2010.

Thanks for taking a look.

Have a good one!

Meeting Hunter 8-21-2018

Meet Hunter.

Proud parents, our niece Beka and husband John.

This was taken the day he was born.

This picture and the one above are compliments of family.

We had our first opportunity to meet Hunter Thursday August 21st.

Kennedy gets her turn to hold him!

Now Vanessa took a turn. She said he was giving her baby fever but no worries. She and Keannon are through 😉

Everyone held Hunter except Kashton...course I think holding babies is more of a "girl" thing 😉

He looks a little to me like Beka's Dad, who passed away in 2013.

We had a great time. He's a cutie and Beka is a great mom!

Doris is in love! This was taken in late July.

Hunter turned 2 months old August 5th!

Another handsome man in the family 😊

Have a good one!

Trip to Visit Family: Day 10 Going Home 08-07-2015

Tuesday, August 7th was the day we make the final part of our journey.

Someone is still sleepy.

This dollhouse Uncle Philip and his daughter Sarah put when she was little.

Kennedy loved it!

Another group selfie 😊.

Uncle Philip and Aunt Mary Ann were great hostess.

It was a great time seeing family but we are all ready to be home.

Next destination....Texas 😉.

Have a good one!

Trip to Visit Family: Day 9 On to Tulsa 08-06-2018

Monday, August 6th we pack the car, huddle up for a group selfie, say our goodbyes and head for my Uncle Philip's in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Uncle Philip and Aunt Mary Ann took us to Chuckee Cheese. Needless to say, the kids were thrilled! The adults...well we were happy the kids were happy 😉

After dinner, Uncle Philip played with the kids. First Korin and Kennedy rolled a little boxcar back and forth.

Kashton was content (for a while) building.

Visiting with Mary Ann.

Kennedy remembered playing ping-pong with Uncle Philip last time we visited. She and Kashton loved that.

Have a good one!

Trip to Visit Family: Day 8 Family Gathering 08-05-2018

Sunday, August 5th Aunt Sandy planned a family gathering. She planned for lunch. Not everyone could come but it sure was good to see those who did!

Until family began to arrive, the kids needed something to do. I played baseball with Kashton and Mom played with Korin. Korin loves her Grammer 💕.

This is my cousin Randy and his first grandchild, Aiden. He's a cutie!

Dana (Randy's wife), Aunt Mae, Randy and Aiden.

Aunt Sandy, my cousin Andy, wife Terry and Mom.

My cousin Michael and son Will

Will, Kashton, Korin and Kennedy

It was a great day and wonderful visiting with everyone.

Have a good one!

Trip to Visit Family: Day 7 Bubbles and Hula 08-04-2018

Saturday, August 4th, we ate breakfast and packed up to head to the "Smith B&B" (Aunt Sandy's) Mom's sister. We took some pictures before we left. Sheryl took the picture for us.

Barbara wanted Sheryl to get in the picture with us so she and Sheryl changed places.

Sheryl and I took a selfie. I didn't realize Vanessa's reflection was in the window!

The girls loved Sheryl!

We said our goodbyes and headed to Blue Springs about an hour away.

Aunt Sandy had lunch ready when we arrived. After lunch she made arrangements for the kids to swim and her step-son's house just a few houses from hers.

Aunt Sandy planned a family gathering on Sunday August 5th but my cousin Roxanne who is 13 days younger than me had to work Sunday so she came over after we got through swimming.

Sandy's great-granddaughter, Blair had a Hawaii birthday party and thought my grands would enjoy playing with the hula skirts and leis. They did.

And so did Kashton 😜

You can see a short video clip here. It's not a good one as I turned my phone before I thought so part of it is sideways.

A little shower came over the house and a rainbow appeared.

The rain although not much did cool down the temperature. Aunt Sandy had some bubbles for the kids.

Even Auntie blew some bubbles.

Bubble popped!

Have a good one!

Trip to Visit Family: Day 6 - City Park and Ice Cream 08-03-2018

Friday, August 3rd was our last day on the farm. Every day we were there I enjoyed watching
hummingbirds coming to the feeder they had right outside the dining room window. I found it very relaxing and enjoyable.

Since Kashton missed out on driving the tractor because he fell asleep GGPa graciously got the tractor out again and let him drive.

Click on the picture to enlarge and you can see how happy he is behind the wheel! Of course sisters had to tag along but he didn't mind 😉

I don't think Kashton will forget this any time soon!

That afternoon GGPa took us to the little city park just south of town.

There is a little kid inside of everyone 😉

Dad said this is an actual bridge that was replaced and put in the park. Notice the field of soy beans in the background?

There were Canadian geese at the park too! Maybe that's where the 5 we saw at Dad's came from.

The kids thought they had to throw rocks in the water.

We left the park and on the way back to Dad's we stopped at "The Main Scoop". A little ice cream
shop in a town with a population of 543! GGPa treated everyone to ice cream!

The owner let Korin come around the counter so she could see what ice cream she wanted.

I just love this picture! It makes me happy 😊

Although I don't have pictures, that evening, my Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Sharon (Dad's sister) came to see us. My step-sister and childhood friend (Sheryl) came too. Sheryl's sister,  Karen came by on her way home from work for a few minutes. It was a great time of visiting.

Have a good one.
