Warm Wishes (for a Great Birthday)

My friend turned the big 6-0! January 13th. What?!! How did that happen?!! It doesn't seem like it was that long that we were young adults!

I made her a card and had it ready for several days but I didn't want to blog about it until after her birthday because she reads my blogs :)

This is the stamp set I used.

I stamped the image on white card stock. Then I proceeded to stamp multiple times on other papers so I could paper piece the image. I did color with my markers her hair and skin but the rest is paper pieced.

I had a lot of fun making this card. The papers are left overs from Little Yellow Bicycle collection called "Winterings". I figured since she had a winder birthday that worked pretty good!
I absolutely love how the card turned out!

Her daughter planned a surprise birthday dinner at one of our local Mexican food places. The surprise almost was on us as she had planned a day trip with another friend of ours whose birthday is on Monday to the Silos in Waco owned by the HGTV stars Chip and Joanna Gaines.

I don't know the whole story but the friend she went with was in on the party. Here she is making her grand entrance.

She's fussing at me for taking a picture which I find hilarious. She knows me and she is a photographer herself! They are the best pictures but something. except for these two I pretty much left the picture taking up to others this go around.

We had a good time and ... I think she did too.

Happy birthday my friend! Here's to many  more!

Have a good one!
