Saturday Night Rodeo

After Mom and I got back from San Angelo Saturday May 14th it was time to get ready for rodeo. We had three horses to get ready.

All loaded to go to rodeo!

Kennedy wanted to ride in the Grand Entry. This was her first time. She does have the reins but I wasn't ready to let her go totally solo so I have a lead rope! We are waiting for it to start!

A selfie while we wait.

Daddy rode in the Grand Entry too. Another selfie while we wait to begin.

Thanks to my husband for taking pictures since I couldn't! Here we are entering the arena. Fancy was jumping all over the place as we entered the gate. I think she was having a flash back when her previous owner barrel raced with her! Once we got in the arena and she saw we weren't doing barrels she calmed down.

She looks like a natural! Already has that "queen" wave!

Following the pattern around the horses that set the pivots.

After doing the pattern, we are on our way out of the area.

The only part of riding in the Grand Entry she didn't like was having to ride to the trailer to put horses up and missing the first part of the rodeo. It's just part of it!

Daddy and Korin.

It was a little chilly the last night. Kennedy with her cousin Krystal.

We had the privilege of having box seats next to the owners of the Rafter G (Neal and Kay Gay) which provide the livestock for our rodeo and the family I bought Fancy from!

Neal and Kay Gay. Their granddaughter Summer is who I bought Fancy from. We found out that Summer's sister Megan graduated from Nursing School this same weekend too!

Mommy and Korin.

Kennedy enjoying the antics of the rodeo clown.

That wraps up rodeo for another year!

Have a good one!
