From Cast to Walking Boot

Tuesday April 26th, Mom had an appointment with her surgeon Dr. Cook in Dallas.

Off with the cast.

The wrinkle in her skin was caused by the bandage wrap and her foot swelling.

Dr. Cook is pleased. He wants to leave the stitches in a bit longer though. She does however get to exchange her cast for her walking boot!

Mom thought that once she got the walking boot on she would walk! Well she tried but it was a no go!

While we were in Dallas and the Infectious Disease Doctor was right across the street we went to that office to have them look at Mom's pick line that was giving her trouble.

This picture just about says it all. She is a bit disappointed that she can't walk like she thought she would and now we are waiting to talk to the nurse about her pick-line.

I did get her to laugh!
