Cards for Special Occasions

I had several things I needed cards for of late so I have done some crafting during my recuperation.

Vanessa was a hostess for a baby shower of a friend. She asked me to help her make the invitations. She came up with the paper and wording for it and I put them together. I had the idea to use twine instead of ribbon.

This was one of the events I needed a card for. This is the card I made. The deer is a Technique Tuesday acrylic stamp. The sentiment I created using alpha stamps from Just Rite. The green "wood" paper is from Kaiser Kraft Christmas Collection last year. For a little more masculine feel I added some burlap behind the image and some twine.

The next card I made was for some friends who got married Saturday October 3rd. This is a Stampin' Up stamp set. I used Versa Mark ink then embossed with white and red powder.

I made this card for Keannon. He is going on a spiritual retreat. I made him this card and wrote a letter of encouragement that he will receive while at the retreat. This is a Phyllis Harris design of a rubber stamp by Unity Stamp Co. I actually had the "girl" version but I was able to tweak it enough to make it look like a boy. I was very pleased!
