Day One "30 Day Coloring Challenge"

While checking email today I received a notification of a blog I follow. It talked about another
blog that was doing a "30 Day Coloring Challenge". The challenge is to color a little everyday. The challenge started today. Whether its using water colors, Copic Markers, or sharpies. The goal is to color something. It sounded like fun to me. I love to color and doing a little everyday might help inspire more creativity!

I made a card with the image I colored. I used my Copic Markers. This is a Unity stamp designed by Phyllis Harris called Strong & Courageous.  The sentiment was too large for the front of the card so I cut off part of it and put the remainder inside the card. The rest of the sentiment says "do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God, will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9".

To tone down the white paper I used Distressed Ink Antique Linen and applied with a blending tool around the edges of the image and sentiment. The design paper is scrap from an old Bo Bunny collection.

We are in a Winter Storm Warning with sleeting falling as I write this. Today was a good crafting day and looks like tomorrow will be too!

Have a good one!

  1. It was a good crafting day but I had to do things in the office to catch up! How fun a 30 day coloring challenge! I look forward to seeing what all you color. Love your stamped image and what a great idea to put part of the sentiment on the inside!

    1. Thanks Sandy! I do't know if I'll be able to do all 30 days but I'm going to try.
