Kennedy's First Riding Lesson

Kennedy came to spend the afternoon with me Wednesday. We had lunch and she had been watching some TV when she said. I want to go back riding. I was like "you want to go back riding?" Yes, you know where I ride Clyde by myself. Oh, okay.

During Rodeo last month Kennedy saw several little kids riding horses by themselves some of them were from our church. I told her I would start teaching her how. Well...I guess today was the day.

I tried to talk her out of it because it was kind of hot (93) and there is no shade where I have the round pen but I decided if she could take the heat, I could.

First we had to catch horses. Here she is leading Clyde while I lead Diamond.

I thought she did really well today being it was her first time.
To watch a video of her ride go here. For some reason Blogger won't let me upload videos anymore so I posted it to youtube.

After a while she wanted me to ride with her so of course I obliged.
After riding we decided it was time to try out the new "Yogrit" as Kennedy calls it (yogurt) Shop. She had Dark Creamy Chocolate and Birthday cake with a sampling of Watermelon Sorbet.
I had White Chocolate Mousse and Dark Creamy Chocolate with Almond slivers. It sure was good on a hot day.
After church I saw clouds filling the sky covering the setting sun. Looks like a chance of rain!
There was a little break in the sky as some color from the setting sun began to show.

Wonderful way to end a great day. On the way home Kennedy fell asleep! Guess I wore her plum out!

Have a good one!
