Calculating and Computing

Today is WOW Wednesday at Cat's and I'm sharing a two page layout I created.

I used sketch#349 from Sketch Inspiration.

On the right side I flipped the sketch and tweaked a bit to coordinate with the other page. I used Teresa Collins new fall collection "Now and Then". These are pics of my granddaughter Kennedy with her Granddad taken a year ago. She loves to go into his office playing with his calculator and with his help the computer so I titled this layout "Calculating and  Computing.

Here is a close up of the left side.
Here's a close up of the right side. For something different I drug out my needle, thread and templates to add some stitching. I don't do this often as it is too time consuming but I do like the look!

Saturday was my husband's birthday. Bless his heart, he had to work so we celebrated on Sunday. This is the card I made for him.
If this card looks familiar it's because I did make some cards very similar to this for Operation Write Home. You can find them here if you would like to see. I used a OWH sketch #133.

  1. Love your layouts! You are so good at staying with your scrapbooking. I moved and cleaned and rearranged all my many scrapbooks. Wow! I didn't realize I had so many. I had just enough room for them. Ha, ha. I just don't know if I'll every scrapbook again. Where would I put it! LOL I'm thinking of going back to condensing like 5 years in one album when I do scrap again. I have a few years that are FOUR albums for one year. Way too many photos! Okay, enough about me. :) I do love your layouts AND your husband's birthday card. It is perfect. Tell Doyle Happy Birthday (belated) from me. And Happy WOW! Wednesday to you!

    1. Thanks Sandy! Working at the store has helped me keep scrapbooking as I help Cathy make sample pages with new product. Otherwise I'd be more behind! I'm not sure I would do a very good job of condensing photos and books! I do love making cards! I'll pass the birthday greeting on to Doyle! Happy WOW Wednesday to you!

  2. Oh Valerie, these pages are priceless! LOL I laugh at Sandy, as there's no way possible to put 365 days worth of photo's into one album. I one album that consists of 5 hours spent in Salem MA and 8 rolls of film.. I just keep makin' pages and keep stuffin' in albums.. LOL

LOVE the card, it's simply classic and elegant. And not froo froo! Keep it up Valerie! :D Today you're inspiring me!!

  4. Happy Wow Wednesday, Valerie! The layout is so cute - I love when little kids do "grown up" things. Your card is great - I really like how you added the twine on the image. It adds a lot of interest. I also like how you interpreted the sketch!
